At Ivory and Oak, we believe in taking a sustainable approach to business and doing our part to protect the environment. That's why we're proud to offer a jar return program to all of our customers.

Repurposing Your Jars

Once you've finished burning your candle, you have a few options! Our glass jars are perfect for water, iced coffee (or whiskey), as beautiful planters for succulents or mini terrariums, or as pencil holders.  Or, return the jar to us and receive $2 off your next candle purchase. If you have other creative ideas for repurposing the jars, feel free to send us photos so we can share inspiration with others!

Returning your vessels (Fort McMurray only) 

Because we use high-quality 100% natural coconut-soy wax, you can easily clean up the glasses so we can reuse them for our next batch of candles--doing our bit for the planet one jar at a time. If you choose to return your jar, you will get $2 off your next candle. Message us at helloivoryandoak@gmail.com to get the process started. Once your jar has been received, you will receive a custom coupon code/discount. Cleaning steps are below!

PLEASE NOTE: One returned jar equals $2 off one candle. For example, if you return three jars, you'll need to purchase three new candles to receive $6 off. Three returned jars does not equal $6 off one candle.

How to Clean Your Jar Before Returning

STEP 1: Burn the entirety of your Ivory and Oak candle

STEP 2: Prepare a pot with water. Place the used candle containers in the pot.

STEP 3: Simmer slowly until the wax is fully melted. Easy!

STEP 4: Pour the wax into the compost bin. We use 100% coconut soy wax, and it is compostable. Do not pour the wax into the sink!

STEP 5: Wick tabs fall off easily. Rinse the containers until the leftover wax is thoroughly cleaned.

STEP 6: Labels must be taken off and the jar must be in 'like new' condition. ex. no chips or scratches on the coloured jars. 

STEP 6: Wipe down with a kitchen cloth. Voila!
